Deli food is luxury food collected from around the world; an amazing mix of cultures and techniques creating truly wonderful flavours. Deli food is preserved food and, more than anything, deli food is peasant food. The famous pastrami, for example, a thinly sliced brined and smoked beef, started life as pastromi which followed the migration of Jewish peoples into Central and Eastern Europe and was the traditional method of preserving beef for winter storage. The Home Deli brings the accumulation of all that history and all those foods into your kitchen.

Within its pages you will find pastries, rolls, quiches and pies of all types and sizes; pies with meat and fruit pies too; there are sausages of all kinds from Toulouse to chorizo and artisan breads, craft cheeses, dips and flavored oils and vinegars. Then to wash all this down there are traditional and delicious cordials, wines and beers you can make yourself.
