If so then The Good Life Press welcomes book proposals. We specialise in practical ‘how to’ books for the farmer, smallholder and ‘good lifer.’

What we publish (or rather what we don’t)

We don’t generally go for biographies, autobiographies, or tales of how “we gave everything up and lived the good life” (sorry – it’s been done to death). We aren’t in the market for children’s fiction (far to hit and miss). We also tend to shy away from nostalgia and don’t touch equestrian.

If you think you have a book in you?

If your idea fits in with our niche, that is ‘practical, how to books for the farmer, smallholder and good lifer’ then you should first of all email ruth@thegoodlifepress.co.uk with a proposal outline. This would take the form of a quick synopsis, why you are the right person to write it and identify who the audience is and why there is a need. You should also include your phone number.

We will respond reasonably quickly letting you know instantly whether we think there is a possible book there for us or not. If yes then you will be asked to elaborate and then the fun really begins!
